Welcome to the Pinewoods Foundation

The Pineywoods Foundation is an East Texas foundation committed to improving and enhancing the communities of a selected number of counties in the pineywoods area.

Founded by Southland Paper Mills, Inc., with a large gift following the dissolution of the company in the 1970s, the foundation is managed by a eight-member board of trustees made up of regional business and community leaders.

With offices in Lufkin, the foundation serves a variety of community and regional causes through financial grants awarded four times each year.
